This Week in Class

Bible – This week we talk of Jesus’ preparation for the ministry.

Math –  We  are looking forward to dividing shapes into halves, fourths, and eighths and                        writing numbers in digit dates.

Spelling – List 3!  Test on Friday. 

Reading – This week we spend time polishing our fluency.  No assessment.

Grammar – We will finish Chapter 1 and work through the test together for the learning

            experience.  No need to study at home.

Science- We will test chapter two in science on Friday.  A review sheet will go home to

            help with the studying process. If you are familiar with the information on the

review sheet you will do well on the test.

Homework Signing

Hats off to all the parents for doing such a good job of signing homework planners!

Please remember to record the number of minutes your child is spending on homework.  Do not include their reading time with the actual homework time. 

Homework:

Tuesday:  Science:  Complete Chapter two review sheet; Spelling:  do page 10.

Wednesday:  Math:  16B

Thursday:  Math page 17B; Spelling – study for test on List 3

Cookie Dough Sale

Our annual cookie dough sale will begin on Wednesday, September 8th.  We are selling some other delicious items along with the dough this year.  Watch for order forms, brochures and more details to come home on September 8th. It's a delicious way to support CCS!

We are BIG on Reading!

September Reading Records went home last week.  The reading goal for the month of September is 480 minutes.  Simply record the book and time your child reads.  These do count as reading test grades.

We are collecting Box Tops!  Feel free to start sending them in!
