A Message from the Head of School Tom Argersinger

Greetings parents and Friends of CCS,

I hope that your summer has been blessed, fruitful, and restful!

There is lots of activity on the CCS campus this summer, with renovations being completed this month on the elementary and secondary buildings and adjacent play areas. We've also redone a large portion of our portico area around the auditorium.

We are so grateful for the hard work of many of our staff during this season.

Finally…drum roll, please!

Next week, we will be launching the new, much-anticipated CCS website! This new site has been rebuilt from the ground up by a subset of our Communication and Engagement Team led by Mr. Vance Rutherford. We are so excited to be able to finally share the fruit of our labor with you all! We look forward to hearing your feedback on the new site once it's launched.

We consider this a soft launch because we are still iterating on the rebuild of the site, and it will still undergo some adjustments and changes over the weeks to come.

We are excited to be welcoming three new Board members, many new families, as well as some new CORPs (Faculty + Staff) members into the CCS family.

With all of these wonderful things going on, I cannot help but be grateful to the Lord for His continued provision for His school!

Finally, the 50th Anniversary, to be celebrated in the 2027-28 school year, will be here before you know it – you'll be hearing much more about this over the coming months.

I want to close my article today with a focus on Matthew 6:33-34:

“Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore, do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”

Jesus is reminding his disciples, and by extension us, that our work in this world is designed to be carried out in the power of God, with the agenda of furthering his kingdom, and without anxiety about the outcome.

There is also the clear realization that we have been given the righteousness of Christ, and it is in that context that we will continue our work.

And so it is here at CCS. Cultural storms continue to rage, families continue to be challenged in various ways, and the task of education has in some ways never been more difficult. Yet Jesus's words in this passage resonate and resound across the centuries and give us clear guidelines for how this work is supposed to be carried out.

CCS remains fully committed to continuing to do God’s work in His way. Our goal is to bring Him maximum glory.

Thank you for trusting us enough to join us on this sacred journey.

Please enjoy the rest of your summer, and may our faith be evidenced through our life and work.

For CCS and the Kingdom,

 Tom
